MEASUREMENT GUIDE

What RUN measures

Each run sends 100 unreliable datagrams over WebTransport and HTTP/3 to this Linode. The endpoint echoes each probe with server timestamps, then returns a reliable summary.

Round-trip time
Client receive time minus send time, with measured server dwell removed.
Directional delivery loss
Upstream compares client writes with server receives. Downstream compares echoes accepted for sending with unique replies received. Local transport drops can contribute; these are not calibrated IP packet-loss figures.
Jitter
The final RFC 3550 smoothed interarrival variation, calculated separately in each direction. Unknown clock offsets cancel out.
Limits
A 100-probe train has coarse loss resolution. This PoC has no TCP/WebRTC fallback, loaded-latency test, fault injection or calibrated health verdict.

Session results are held in memory in this tab and can be exported. Server logs contain session counts, not client addresses or page content.
